The first stage is freezing phase which can be painful and it typically lasts 1 to 3 months. You might find yourself very painful when you move or the pain can be worse in the night. Then the second stage is frozen phase. This is the phase when you find your shoulder is very stiff and limited in movement. This is the time when daily task can be very difficult and it usually lasts from 2 to 6 months . Then the last stage is thawing phase which you might find yourself can move gradually and better in terms of the movement. This phase can last from 6 months to 2 years.
